REDEFINING DEMOCRACY

They thus say to define Democracy,

but, where is this Democracy not even in the people who are mercy.

Some say Democracy came out to liberate tyranny,

but, nothing has ended completely.

They say elections give a choice,

It neither gives a chance.

Some say to exercise franchise,

but, none hear people’s voices.

Men say they want new rules,

by the way, the same leaders keep shifting from parties.

Rulers say Democracy is against discrimination,

but, in fact, it has inaugurated corruption.

Leaders work for sensual pleasures,

but, common people suffer hardships.

Socialists say Democracy is the rule by people,

but, the minority has no stake to live.

Hence, there is a pressing need to redefine Democracy,

Till then we have to call it a monarchy.
