THE JSIA BULLETIN GUIDELINES

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  • The text should contain original content.

  • Deliberate plagiarism will not be tolerated (articles with more than 30% similarity will not be considered). 

  • 1 to 10 should be written in words (not when depicting quantity). 

  • Repetition of ideas or content should be avoided.

  • An abbreviation shall be expanded, once at the outset, and thereafter abbreviation may be used in subsequent text.

  • Authors are advised to refrain from hate/discriminatory speech. (If one submits an article that is discriminatory in nature, the article will be subjected to further review by the editorial board and the administration before taking a decision). 

  • References from any article, website, news website, journal, etc., are to be hyperlinked in the text for knowledge. (Attach bibliography- MLA style)

ACADEMIC SUBMISSIONS

  • The submission should be 800 words minimum, and should not exceed the word limit of 4500 words (if any article demands fewer words, alterations to this provision can be made after communicating with the editors.)

  • Add subheads in the article/paper (optional). 

  • Article/paper must be well structured, argumentative, and grammatically correct.

  • We accept academic submissions that fall under the following categories: 

  • International Politics

  • Domestic Politics

  • Law and Human Rights 

  • Business, Economics, and Governance

  • History, Philosophy, and Sociology

CREATIVE SUBMISSIONS

  • The word limit should be 500 words minimum (if any article or story demands fewer words, alterations to this provision can be made. However, poems and aphorisms are an exception to this).

  • Poems must have a brief explanation, describing what the theme is about.

  • Poems in different languages must be submitted with a translation and/or brief explanation, describing the theme. 

  • All artworks must be submitted with a title and a brief explanation.

  • All artworks must be original; they should not be copied from another artist’s work or plagiarized from any other source. 

  • All works of photography must be original and submitted with a title and the location and year the picture was taken.

  • A clearly scanned copy of the artwork must be submitted.

  • We accept non-academic submissions that fall under the following categories

  • Digital art, paintings, and photographs

  • Poems & excerpts

  • Reviews & analytical works of books, movies, music, etc.,

REJECTION RIGHTS

  • The Bulletin reserves the right to reject any submission it deems unfit to publish on the website.

  • If a substantial amount of similarity and/or plagiarism is detected in any of the submissions, the Bulletin reserves the right to reject the submission.

  • If the author/submitter of a piece does not respond to the Bulletin’s or any of its Editor’s emails in 10 days, the Bulletin reserves the right to reject the submission.

COPYRIGHT

The copyright of all the articles belongs to The JSIA Bulletin only. No published article is to be reproduced in any other journal or website without seeking permission of The JSIA Bulletin. Please write for permission at blogjsia@jgu.edu.in

Concerning unpublished articles, the copyright belongs to The JSIA Bulletin for 30 days from the date of submission. If the author does not receive communication from the Bulletin in 30 days, the author is free to publish the piece elsewhere.
